Collaboration between Federal and State, Local, and Tribal Governments

Advancing Responsible Information Sharing to further Counterterrorism and Homeland Security Missions

Advancing Responsible Information Sharing for Counterterrorism and Homeland Security Missions is a core objective to support the National Strategy, and extends beyond just federal agencies to slate, local tribal and territorial government entities. Innovations like the National Network of Fusion Centers, Joint Terrorism Task Forces, and interoperable systems allow and enable analysts and investigators to accomplish the mission.

Effective post-9/11 innovations like the National Network of Fusion Centers, Joint Terrorism Task Forces, and interoperable systems allow analysts and investigators to gain access to relevant information in a way that maintains privacy protections, while promoting a culture of information sharing.
