The Department of Defense

The Department of Defense (DOD) views information sharing as a key mission enabler. DOD plays a key role in assisting the ISE in understanding international military vulnerabilities.

Army The Department of the Army's IC component goal is to provide all-source intelligence that is relevant, useful, and timely, to the Army and other military personnel at all levels.

Navy Naval Intelligence's mission is to support maritime operations worldwide in defense of the United States. Naval intelligence professionals are deployed throughout the Navy and DoD.

Air Force The Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (AF ISR)'s mission is to enhance global vigilance by integrating ISR capabilities across air, space and cyberspace domains in order to gain timely, accurate information required by commanders and decision-makers to further U.S. national interests.

Marine Corps The U.S. Marine Corps' (USMC) IC component produces tactical and operational intelligence for battlefield support. The Marine Corps' Director of Intelligence leads intelligence department activities, which include intelligence, counterintelligence, terrorism, and cryptology efforts.
